Version 01: Blooming Summer~
Theme: What do you do when you fall in love for the first time?
Featuring: Sagara Sousuke & Chidori Kaname (Full Metal Panic!)

I wanted to create something fluffy and sweet for the first design, and angsted over choosing which pairing would grace Hatsukoi's first layout. Inspiration suddenly hit me while I was drooling over this yummy image of Sousuke & Kaname from the anime/manga series, Full Metal Panic! The scene is adorable~ Sousuke, like a little boy in love, cutely thrusts a rose right in Kaname's face, who blushes while taking a step back in surprise~ X3 Their relationship can be angsty at times, but it is also full of sweet and dokidoki moments ♪
Summer represents fun and youthfulness, so I used cool colors like blue, lavender, and white, and included lots of flowers and little butterflies. I chose the title Blooming, which was inspired from the rose that Sousuke is holding out for Kaname~ it not only symbolizes love, but I thought it was a nice metaphor that just like the rose, their relationship is blooming as well ♥
The theme is inspired from the song Ai Araba ~It's All Right~, by J-pop group Morning Musume. It is a super cute song about falling in love for the first time, and I thought it fit Sousuke and Kaname's situation here perfectly X3
